PROJECT DETAILS
Iron Mountain Casting is currently casting real Canadian locals (Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan) who love the outdoors for an upcoming paid video and photo campaign for a multinational automotive company. No previous acting or modeling experience is required.
WHO SPECIFICALLY ARE WE LOOKING FOR?:
We are currently casting in central and western Canada for authentic individuals, athletes, and diverse people who live and breathe the winter lifestyle. It can be local legends who rip, amateur athletes, or pro. Below is an outline of the demographics and skills we are searching for!
HOW MUCH WILL TALENT BE COMPENSATED?:
Below is an overview of the compensation per talent for this project. All numbers are in CAD and are per person.
WHEN AND WHERE WILL FILMING TAKE PLACE?:
Filming will take place at either Kananaskis Country and / or Fortress Mountain near Calgary between February 10th and 15th.
Talent will only be needed on set for 1 day. Filming days will be 10-12 hours with breaks included.
There will also be a wardrobe fitting on February 8th or 9th, production may work to coordinate a fitting closer to the production date for individuals traveling in from out of town who are filming later in the production schedule.
WHAT IS BEING FILMED / PHOTOGRAPHED?:
Production will be filming non-speaking B-Roll Style Content of talent enjoying the Canadian outdoors in the winter. Different activities will be filmed depending on the role (snowboarding, skiing, driving, etc.)
WHAT ARE THE USAGE TERMS FOR THE FOOTAGE?:
Print Usage: Unlimited global use for all print, consumer trade, OOH, POP, retail, internet / digital, mobile, apps, social media, all new electronic media, industrial, collateral, PR events, and textbook without time limitation, unless otherwise specified by the agency and approved by the brand.
Print usage is in perpetuity.
Video Usage: Unlimited use in all media worldview for 1 year with optional yearly extensions. Usage is guaranteed
Right to Renew: The client retains the option to extend use of the vignette video materials for a second term of 12 months upon payment of an additional fee of the original usage fee + 10% to talent. They retain the right to extend this yearly thereafter, increasing compensation by +10% each new term.
Exclusivity: Talent will be held Exclusive to the major automotive company for the duration of the video usage term. This means that talent are not able to work with competing automotive companies while the video content is actively being used by the brand in a public facing manner.

Raised in the mountains and shaped by his years as a nationally ranked freestyle skier, his directing style channels a lifelong connection to motion, momentum, and place. He is a Young Guns winner (The One Club, NYC), four-time Cannes Lion YDA nominee, two-time Telly Awards gold winner. His winter films, Dreaming of a Better Place and Suspended in Space, have reached global audiences through Air Canada's in-flight entertainment and multiple Academy Award-qualifying festivals.

HOW MUCH WILL TALENT BE COMPENSATED?:
Below is an overview of the compensation per talent for this project. All numbers are in CAD and are per person.
- Session Fee: $750/12hr session (breaks included). Photo usage is included in the session rate.
- Video Usage: $3,000 CAD for the usage rights to the video footage
- Fitting Fees: $75 for 2 Hour Fitting
- Travel Days: $375 per day (2x travel days - if traveling in from outside of the greater Calgary area)
- Airfare - Round trip economy airfare will be provided as needed
- Per Diem - A per diem of $50 CAD per non-shoot day
- Lodging - Accommodations will be provided near the shooting location
- Transportation: A shuttle to and from the shooting location will be provided by production

If you want to be considered for a role that required experience with a winter sport (skiing, snowboarding, ice fishing, etc.) please include video content of you enjoying this sport!
