​​AUDITION INSTRUCTIONS

Submissions are due by 10pm on Sunday October 2nd

TECHNICAL SELF-TAPE INSTRUCTIONS

RECORDING DEVICE / FRAMING:
  • You can record your self-taped audition on a cell phone camera.
  • Your phone or camera should record in the landscape / horizontal position. No vertical videos please.    

LIGHTING / AUDIO:
  • Record your audition in a well-lit area. Soft and/or natural light is preferred.
  • Your light source should come from behind the camera, not from behind you, otherwise we will only see your silhouette. 

LOCATION:
  • Record in an uncluttered area where we can see you clearly. Ideally against a neutral backdrop. 
  • Avoid loud or noisy areas (i.e. fans, street noise, etc.). ​

WARDROBE:
  • All Roles - Casual leisurewear, t-shirts, neutral colored pants, etc. Avoid stripes, tiny patterns and bold logos. NO HATS OR SUNGLASSES. ​

VIDEO 1 OF 2: SLATE / INTRO VIDEO

Please record the following from the mid thigh up looking directly into the camera. 
COUPLES / GRANDPARENTS / FAMILIES OF 3 - You can do a joint slate
DOG OWNERS - ​If you are submitting with a dog, please have your dog with you and you can frame up from head to toe.
1. What is your full name? 
2. What role(s) are you auditioning for?
3. In 20 seconds or less, tell us a little about yourself / your family. We just want to get a high level gauge of your personality 
4. Answer the following questions connected to your role.
  • Kayaking Couple - Have you ever been kayaking before? Do you like outdoor activities, etc. 
  • Road Trip Couple - Have you been on a roadtrip? Tell us briefly about your favorite road trip. Do you have a convertible or unique car or classic car that you would be open to renting to production? (not required)​
  • Dog Owners and Dogs - Introduce us to your dog. What is their name, how old are they, are they good around new people? Can they do any tricks? If they can, show us some tricks! 
  • Dog Walking Group (Non-Dog Owners) - Are you comfortable around dogs? Are you allergic to dogs? 
  • Grandparents / Real Families - Briefly tell us about your favorite holiday memory. 

VIDEO 2 OF 2: SCENE

Frame yourself up from the waist up and show us the below scene TWICE. Do the scene next to the role you are auditioning for.
Please do these scenes without adding any extended dialogue. Small lines are fine. Scenes should be around :15
Kayaking Couple:  You are sitting next to each other drinking coffee watching the sunrise. You look at each other fondly and cheers your coffee. One of the coffee's spill and you laugh. 

Roadtrip Couple: A map is laid out on the table, you are looking at it together and plotting your roadtrip route. You are smiling and laughing, you've always wanted to take this trip together. 

Dog Walking Group: You (and your dog if applicable) are sitting around a picnic table with your friends socializing, smiling and laughing. You lean down and give the/your dog some pets. Someone suggests a selfie and you all lean in to take one. 

Dogs Only: NA - if you are submitting JUST a dog, you can just submit the slate. 

Grandparents: You are just are sitting down at the dinner table with your extended family. They have all gathered to celebrate your grandson/daughters birthday. Everyone is happy. You start serving everyone when someone cracks a joke, you laugh. 

Real Family of 3: It if your child's birthday and you have gathered with family to celebrate. You just finished singing happy birthday and are huddled around your child as they make a wish and blow out their candles. You all cheer and enjoy the moment. 

PHOTO DESCRIPTIONS:

Please include the below photos with your audition files. No hats, sunglasses, or filters

EACH MEMBER OF YOUR COUPLE / GROUP MUST SUBMIT THESE PHOTOS

Dogs - Please include 3-5 photos of your dog! 

PEOPLE:​

- Portrait - This does not have to be a professional headshot photo. Any recent, nice quality photo taken from the chest up. 

- Full Body Photo: 1 photo facing the camera where we can see you from head to toe  

- Profile(s): 1 head to toe photo of your profile (facing the side) 

- Cowboy aka 3/4: 2 photos of you from the mid-thigh up. One smiling with your teeth, one smiling closed mouth. 

- Hands: 2 photos of your hands, one with your palms facing up, one with your palms facing down


- General: Feel free to also include any additional photos that you think casting would be interested in. Lifestyle photos, photos of you with your friends, etc.

HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR AUDITION FILES

To submit your media files, fill out the form found below and use the file upload sections to upload your audition files..

You can submit as multiple files or one file. You must select all files at one time once you open the finder. You do not need to rename your files. Large files may take several minutes to upload, do not exit, refresh, or submit the page until they are uploaded. 

Please only submit your files once, but EACH MEMBER OF YOUR GROUP MUST FILL OUT A SEPARATE FORM
