SCENES:

FRAMING: Frame yourself in camera so you can be seen from the chest up.

FOCUS ON YOUR FACIAL EXPRESSIONS:  All of these scenes are non-verbal, we really need to see how you can express these subtle emotions with your face. Feel free to look directly at or near the camera, we want to be able to see most of your face.

DIALOGUE: You are free to add some lines in here and there as you see fit, but please keep these moments mostly non-verbal.

SUBTLE NOT OVERLY DRAMATIC: We are looking for performances that feel genuine and authentic, nothing over dramatic, we want to honor these real life experiences by portraying them realistically. Subtle is the name of the game here!

REMEMBER THE CHARECTER DESCRIPTION FROM THE CASTING BREAKDOWN AND INCORPORATE THEM.
SCENE:

Charlie is a member of the local Mountain Rescue team. He is a seasoned, reserved, expert climber. He is confident and professional. A group of high school students and adults have gone missing on a mountain during a blizzard and Charlie is helping lead a Search and Rescue group.

They have been searching for days when Charlie finally finds the location of the snow cave that the group of teens have been huddled up in. This moment is charged with energy and anticipation. Moving quickly, Charlie digs down into the snow from above until finally, with concern and relief, he breaks through into the cave and finds the climbers. He looks into the cave, turns and yells that at least 2 are alive. He scans the others and quietly, in horror, discovers that most of them have passed away.

Take your time with this scene, especially the ending. Feel free to send multiple takes / versions.
