​ AUDITION INSTRUCTIONS

TECHNICAL SELF-TAPE INSTRUCTIONS

RECORDING DEVICE / FRAMING:
  • You can record your self-taped audition on a cell phone camera.
  • Your phone or camera should record in the landscape / horizontal position.    

LIGHTING / AUDIO:
  • Record your audition in a well-lit area. Soft and/or natural light is preferred.
  • Your light source should come from behind the camera, not from behind you, otherwise we will only see your silhouette. 

LOCATION:
  • Record in an uncluttered area where we can see you clearly. Ideally against a neutral backdrop. 
  • Avoid loud or noisy areas (i.e. fans, street noise, etc.). ​

WARDROBE:

VIDEO 1 OF 3: SLATE

Frame yourself up in camera so you can be seen from head to toe
1. What is your full name? 
2. How tall are you? 
3. Who is your talent agent? (If applicable)
4. Where are you located? 
5.​ Are you fluent in Spanish?

VIDEO 2 OF 3: SCENE​S

Frame yourself in camera so we can see you from the waist up. Show us the below scene twice.  
SCENE 1:
Walk into the frame from off camera. You are walking into the kitchen where you find your dad making breakfast and whistling. 
Dad: " Hey, can I ask you something?"
Before you can answer, the doorbell rings. You mouth “sorry”, grab your Backpack and leave. 

Frame yourself up in camera from the waist up. Show us the below scene twice. Once in English and once in Spanish.

SCENE 2: 
​It's Saturday morning and you are sitting down at the kitchen table. You are listening to music and browsing on your phone. 

Dad: "Hey, can I ask your something?" 

You lift your gaze and take out your earbuds

Teen (English): "I guess"
Teen (Spanish):​ "Que?

VIDEO 3 OF 3: RADIO 

Give us a 2-3 different versions of each of the below lines. You do not have to memorize these lines.
You can read them on camera or send as an audio file. 

1. "Ride’s here! So sorry." 
2. "Ooo. I’m on facetime with Gloria, she’s venting."

PHOTOS

Be prepared to include some photos along with your audition. They do not need to be taken specifically for this project, as long as they represent your current look (haircut, hair color, facial hair, etc.) 

1. Headshot - This does not have to be a professional headshot photo. Any recent, nice quality photo. No hats, sunglasses, or filters

2. Full Body Photos - 1-2 recent photos showing your current body type.

3. General - Feel free to also include any additional photos that you think casting would be interested in.

HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR AUDITION FILES

To submit your media files, fill out the form found at the below link and use the file upload sections to upload your audition files. You can submit as multiple files or one file. You must select all files at one time once you open the finder. You do not need to rename your files. 

If you were invited to audition on Casting Network / LA Casting, upload your self-tape using that platform and skip that step on the form.

Large files may take several minutes to upload, do not exit, refresh, or submit the page until they are uploaded.
