TECHNICAL SELF-TAPE INSTRUCTIONS
TECHNICAL INSTRUCTIONS:
- Record in the landscape / horizontal position (Sideways)
- Film your audition in a well-lit area. Your light source should come from behind the camera, not from behind you.
- Find an uncluttered area to film in where we can see you clearly. Ideally against a neutral backdrop.
- Record your audition in a private, quiet space with no other loud or distracting noises.
- Button down shirt and jeans, a jacket over the top.
- PLEASE WEAR NO MAKEUP OR ONLY VERY NATURAL MAKEUP
SLATE / INTRODUCTION VIDEO:
Frame yourself in camera so you can be seen from head to toe. Look directly into the camera and answer the below questions.
1. What is your full name?
2. How tall are you?
3. Where are you located?
4. Are you represented by a talent agent? If so, who?
If you have glasses on, please take them off briefly and smile.
After you answer all questions smile with your teeth and then show us your side profiles.

FOCUS ON YOUR FACIAL EXPRESSIONS: All of these scenes are non-verbal, we really need to see how you can express these subtle emotions with your face. Feel free to look directly at or near the camera, we want to be able to see most of your face.
DIALOGUE: You are free to add some lines in here and there as you see fit, but please keep these moments mostly non-verbal.
SUBTLE NOT OVERLY DRAMATIC: We are looking for performances that feel genuine and authentic, nothing over dramatic or cheesy, we want to honor these real life experiences by portraying them realistically. Subtle is the name of the game here.

Mar receives a phone call with the news that her husbands mountaineering group is lost and that she should come to the lodge at the base of the mountain to help. She is concerned but immediately springs into action, grabs her keys and leaves. She is strong, not falling apart.
SCENE 2: AT THE LODGE
Mar is at the lodge waiting for news, her concern is growing and she anxiously paces the room, regularly asking rescuers for updates. She's trying to stay calm and hopeful and one way she does that is by praying with parents who are also waiting.
SCENE 3: HOSPITAL
Mar has learned that her husband has passed away, she is devastated and is at the hospital to say goodbye. Show us her entering the room and approaching her husbands body, and about :30 of her saying goodbye with quiet composure.
Please take your time with these scenes, feel free to send several versions of each scene if you want to show different reactions. MAKE SURE WE CAN CLEARLY SEE YOUR FACE.
