MARY BRIDGE CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL
​"JUST LIKE US"​​​​​CASTING CALL

PROJECT DETAILS & TERMS: 

We are casting 12 talent for a commercial for Mary Bridge Children's Hospital. We are looking for 6 talent who will be used in both video and still photos and 6 additional talent for still photos only. We are looking for 6 adults 30-45 and 6 children 4-15 years old.

This feel-good spot/campaign follows multiple families whose children are receiving care at Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital, capturing moments of resilience, warmth, and hope along the way. It builds toward the completion of treatment and the joy of kids feeling like themselves again, exploring expert care from A to Z.

​We are looking for kids who feel authentic and confident with natural, expressive features (oversized glasses, freckles, big hair, gaps in their teeth. Children who feel real and not overly polished, full of personality and comfortable being themselves on camera.
 

​We are looking for parents / people to play parents who feel distinctive and real, with something that defines them, whether that is a cool haircut, interesting personal style or a natural sense of charecter. It’s impotent they genuinely love kids and can authentically step into the role of a parent on set. They should feel comfortable on camera and bring an added layer of warmth, personality and presence to every moment.

​Safety and comfort are central to every aspect of our production approach. The set will be carefully planned and secured, with clear protocols in place to ensure a calm, controlled environment at all times.

Video Usage: Broadcast & Streaming TV & unpaid online/social/digital use on the internet which is worldwide by nature, including al lifts, edits, variations, cut downs.
Print Usage:: 2 years from date of first use​. Territory: Western WA. OOH (including billboards and transit)/print/digital/social
Renewal Option: Client may extend all conditions above for one consecutive term for an additional 10% on the buyout fees paid and 20% agent fee
to be paid only if talent is represented.

PRODUCTION & COMPENSATION DETAILS: 

Production Location: Tacoma and Seattle, WA
Virtual Callback: April 17th
Wardrobe Fitting Dates: May 5th
Production Dates: May 7th-8th (Each Talent will be needed for 1-2 days) 

Fitting Fee: $75/hr if fitting is held on a day prior to filming. 
Video Session: $600 for a session up to 8 hours.  Video talent who are also participating in print on the same day will receive an additional $122.50/hr for the time spent taking still photos with a guarantee of 2 hours minimum.
Still Photo Only Session: $450 for a print session up to 8 hours in length. 
Video Usage: $2,625 To be paid only if performer makes final edit.
Print Usage: $2,000 to be paid only if still images captured are used in the mediums above.
Agency Fee: +20% for represented talent on above labor costs. 

ROLE DESCRIPTIONS:

DAD (Ben + Still Photo Only Roles)

This role covers Ben (video/still photo talent) and 2 still photo only Dad roles. All roles are non-speaking. 

Ben is a 45-year-old dad with a loving wife and two kids. He’s a stay-at-home dad whose favorite thing is joking around and making his kids laugh. He loves football and fancy’s himself as a great cook. Ben comes to Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital for the excellent heart care they provide for children and the coffee bar at the Market Café isn’t too shabby either. His son was diagnosed with a rare heart defect that is being monitored and treated. Ben is the dad of Dax. 

The two still photo only roles will require talent to depict a father who at Mary Bridge Children's Hospital with a sick child. We will see Dad's with kids in Urgent Care for everyday illnesses / injuries, Neurology, Gastro
enterology, etc.

DAX (Son to Ben)

Dax is 7. He wants to be a chef when he grows up. He loves snuggles with his dog and his favorite food is pizza. Dax is going to Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital because of his rare heart condition. He doesn’t think much of it because he loves the gaming station and the play area. Dax is a prankster, loves to laugh. He is the center of attention in his family and teases his sister relentlessly. The doctors and nurses LOVE him. Dax is the son of Ben.

MOM (Emma, Meagann​ and 3 Still Photo Only Roles)

This role covers the role of Emma and Meagann (video and still photo talent) as well as and 2 of our still photo only Mom roles. All roles are non-speaking. 

Emma is A 39-year-old mom with a loving husband and two kids. She’s career-driven but never misses a chance to have fun with her daughter, Sarah. She comes to Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital for its leading-edge cancer treatment, research, and beautiful facilities, a place where her daughter feels safe and cared for. Her daughter was diagnosed with Leukemia at the age of 6. Emma is the mom of Sarah. 

Meagann a 35-year-old single mom and former college varsity soccer player, she was the star shooting guard on her team. When she noticed her son’s growing interest in basketball, she began spending time with him every day, teaching him the game and sharing her love for it. She feels confident knowing her child is safe at Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital and loves the welcoming environment that keeps them coming back, always with a smile. Meagann​ is the mom of AJ. 

The still photo only Mom roles will require talent to depict a Mom who at Mary Bridge Children's Hospital with a sick child. We will see Mom's with children in Urgent Care for everyday illnesses / injuries, Neurology, Gastroenterology, etc.

AJ (Soccer Playing Kid - Son to Meagann​)

AJ is 14, he is an only child who has been coming to Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital for his orthopedic care. After being injured during a soccer game, he underwent knee surgery and worked closely with the rehabilitation team. Through playful exercises, shared laughs, and steady encouragement, he grew stronger and regained his confidence throughout recovery. He has come to adore the PT team and now feels a little bummed knowing his time with them is coming to an end. AJ is the son of Meagann.

AJ will be used in video and still photo. AJ is a non-speaking role.

SARAH (Daughter to Emma)

Appearing 7-10 Years Old 
Open to all ethnicities 

Sarah is 9. She loves to read and finds her older brother annoying but loves him anyway. Dreams of becoming a rock star. She is at the tail end of her Leukemia treatment she has been fighting for 3 years, recovering beautifully. She is always the belle of the ball when she comes in. Everyone loves her and is excited to see her get well. She is strong, a fighter. Talent will be wearing a purple wig during production. Sarah is the daughter of Emma. 

Sarah is a video and still photo role. The role of Sarah is non-speaking.

Open to all ethnicities 

3 Kids for additional still photo only roles. Kids will be depicting children receiving care at Mary Bridge Children's hospital. Specifically these roles cover children in Urgent Care (everyday injuries and illnesses), neurology and gastroenterology. 

We are looking for kids who feel authentic and confident with natural, expressive features (oversized glasses, freckles, big hair, gaps in their teeth. Children who feel real and not overly polished, full of personality and comfortable being themselves on camera.

IF YOU ARE SUBMITTING FOR DAX, AJ OR SARAH YOU DO NOT NEED TO SUBMIT FOR THIS ROLE ALSO. ​
