If you have glasses on, please take them off briefly and smile. After you answer all questions smile with your teeth and then show us your side profiles.

FOCUS ON YOUR FACIAL EXPRESSIONS: All of these scenes are non-verbal, we really need to see how you can express these subtle emotions with your face. Feel free to look directly at or near the camera, we want to be able to see most of your face.
DIALOUGE: You are free to add some lines in here and there as you see fit, but please keep these moments mostly non-verbal.
SUBTLE NOT OVERLY DRAMATIC: We are looking for performances that feel genuine and authentic, nothing over dramatic or cheesy, we want to honor these real life experiences by portraying them realistically. Subtle is the name of the game here, don't go over the top.

SCENE 1: BEFORE HIKE (NO HAT)
Tom is taking a group of high school students on their annual mountaineering trip. At the beginning of the climb Tom appears confident, imposing and intellectually cocky, he demands respect.
Tom is hiking confidently early in the hike despite the increasingly poor conditions when one of his fellow teachers asks him to turn around, she wants to go down. Tom aggressively pressures her to continue upward, even though she is now begging. Her ultimately resorts to bullying her to continue, his students are shocked by his behavior.
The most important thing here are your facial expressions, body language, etc. not your words. Feel free to share a scene without any audio if you find that to be distracting.
SCENE 2: SNOW CAVE 1 (WEAR A BEANIE IF POSSIBLE)
Tom is huddled in a snow cave with the other students trying to stay warm and wait out the storm. He is quiet, he is realizing that he has endangered all of these students and hypothermia is setting in. He is confused, zoned out, and despondent.
Please do not overdo the freezing element here, he is not shaking uncontrollably yet, but he is very cold.
SCENE 3: BUILDING SNOW CAVE (BEANIE)
Tom is trying to build up the snow cave, he is digging feverishly. He is desperate, delirious and freezing. Eventually he leans back and screams up to the sky.
SCENE 4: SNOW CAVE (BEANIE)
Tom is back in the snow cave He is now Hypothermic and is uncontrollably shivering. Cut to him in the same position but he is non-responsive, he has passed away.
