For your audition, wear something that shows off your personal style. Production will be asking you to bring items with you to set and they want to get a taste for what you might have in your closet.
Show your personal style, but know that the image to the left is the clients ideal wardrobe style. Jeans/pants. Long sleeve/3/4 relaxed button down or sweatshirt with sleeves pushed up. Rings/Bracelets.
SLATE
Frame yourself in camera so you can be seen from the waist up. Look directly into the camera and answer the below questions.
If you have an old slate that covers Question 1-4 and your profiles feel free to use it and record a quick video of question 5 only.
1. What is your full name? 2. Are you represented by a talent agent? If so, who? 3. Do you have any visible tattoos (arms, hands, calves, neck, etc.). If so, please show them to us. 4. Show us the front and back of your hands and forearms. 5. Briefly tell us about your experience with playing the guitar. Are you actively learning or an experienced player? How long have you been playing, etc.
After you answer all questions smile with your teeth and then show us your side profiles (turn to the right and pause, then turn to the left and pause)
SCENE
Please prepare up to 2 takes of the following short scene. 1 take is fine but we will review up to 2. Sit somewhere casual where you would normally practice the guitar. A chair, a couch, the floor, your bed, a beanbag. Please do not stand. Frame yourself up so we can clearly see your upper body and your guitar, without much extra headroom in the frame.
SCENE: Amateur Guitarist: Talking directly to camera "Hey, wanna see how I picked up guitar without leaving my apartment? Check this out.
Pops on VR Headset (you can mime this)
Amateur Guitarist: "I just pop on my VR headset, pull up a tutorial, and it’s like having a private lesson right here!"
Play a song or cord arrangement of your choice on your guitar for 10-15 seconds. It's ok if it's rocky, you are supposed to be learning! In the final video we are hoping to have you working on a part of the song "Attention" by Charlie Puth (pending the rights).
Amateur Guitarist: "Bit of a rocky start, but it’s getting there! From total newbie to... well, still learning, but loving every minute!"
Go back to playing for 5-10 seconds.
